My partner was in a car accident this morning. They’re fine, shaken and a bit bruised with a big abrasion from the seatbelt. They were driving my car (an SUV) and rear-ended two cars around a blind corner who stopped suddenly for an ambulance. It was no one’s fault, just a shitty accident.

The car is a write-off, unfortunately. It had the baby’s car seat in it, so that will have to be replaced. It had a boot full of groceries, which will have to be replaced. We didn’t have comprehensive because I’m not working and we can’t afford it. So now we have to destroy our savings to replace the car, groceries, and car seat 🙃

But that’s all incidental. My partner is ok and that is the main thing. Cars etc are replaceable, my partner is not. Give your loved ones a cuddle today.
