The pure joy of being a grown-up BTS superfan | Cognoscenti

It started with a dance video, and 2 1/2 years later this passion still consumes me, writes Tracey Palmer. I’m a 59-year-old professional with two grown daughters and a husband of 33 years, and I am 100% obsessed with everything about this K-pop boy band.

So beautiful!
The part about being (there) for BTS, for each other, and for yourself. 💜
And the very last line... 🎯
Ya and the first record I ever bought was an Ohio Players album, in 7th grade!

Thanks for the link!

@bunnytown @lajibolala_rmy13613 The fast progression from 'Oh that track is cool' to bleary-eyed 'I just binge watched 18hrs of concerts straight' is SO much how it went down for me.

And I agree, when you start to understand ARMY too. Awwww .. all the fuzzy borahae feels!

@pixelcats @bunnytown Honestly I don't remember well my rabbit hole, I have a YT track, but I don't remember much of my emotions, and how I slowly fell; some bits, yeah, but I don't think I fell like others, so I'm a bit sad about cause in a way, don't wanna conform to society, but in this purple community, I wanna conform, just like when you wanna be part of something, the belonging. AH my mind is playing 😅

@lajibolala_rmy13613 Probably because you have so much Kpop and Jpop knowledge it was a bit different .. but that's ok. You are SO Army now .. in fact one of the most purple (beautiful soul) ARMYs I know. 💜  🫂

@bunnytown

@pixelcats @bunnytown STob it
but I got played by narratives at first; but I understand what ytou're saying, like I wasn't in total unknown territory, that's what you're saying ?

@lajibolala_rmy13613 Exactly .. probably a bit less 'woah .. what is this!?!' than some people, and a bit more able to understand because you knew the genre more?

@bunnytown

@pixelcats @bunnytown Right okay I understand, I'll try and be kinder to myself then
