Bah! Did some work for a US based non-profit and they're just not paying me.

They first said they could *only* pay by cheque!
(Utterly impossible for me to cash into my UK bank accounts.)

Then they agreed to pay into my Wise ACH account.
But their supplier platform wouldn't accept my UK address or phone number.

And now they're just ignoring me.

*sigh*

It's only US$250, so not the end of the world. But so dispiriting that they would treat their suppliers so poorly.

They finally paid me!

What a palaver. Think I'll insist that, in future, US companies pay me up front.

@Edent If they're at all corporate-seeming, I ask up front about specific payment options/processes, paperwork requirements, etc. Apart from anything else, if they struggle to answer that polite request or get annoyed then it's a useful red flag

Good plan. This was a last minute favour to a friend. I should have been more diligent though.
