@sarahtaber we have set our clocks
Support for Ireland remaining a member of the EU remains positive

@Rik_M @sarahtaber unless I missed it, it's a shame it doesn't specifically ask people if they want a united Ireland. It only appears to ask if they think it will happen.
Sinn Féin hail ‘momentous’ result as party set to become largest in NI councils

The party had 134 elected councillors by 5pm on Saturday, with gains achieved across the region

@sarahtaber That is a really good, thorough article.
@sarahtaber My husband told me it was coming and I told him that our lovely tour guide, as my sister walked and I COVID-hobbled through Newgrange, said probably not.
@sarahtaber Election campaigns in 🇮🇪 last about 6 weeks. If SF just keep repeating “housing, housing, housing” for the duration they will *romp* home. The risk is SF calling a border poll too soon and it being defeated because they’re NOT PUTTING THE WORK IN to prepare for one, or having any vision of what an acceptable united Ireland would look like to a million people who we have to live with whether we like them or not.
"(...)so Sinn Féin’s new voters in Ireland aren’t supporting them in order to create a constitutional crisis in Britain. That’s just going to be an added bonus."
