I've recently read a comment saying "Bigotry is an emotional attachment to ignorance" and now I can't stop thinking about it

I've often mentioned that the problem is that many people are "proudly ignorant", but that didn't explain WHY.

"Bigotry is an emotional attachment to ignorance" describes the problem and why.

For me it's attachment to the belief that not everyone deserves to survive, thrive and be happy.
