#Meta has already taken info from a Facebook Messenger chat about seeking #abortion in a hostile state, and turned it over for prosecution.

If you're #trans or might ever need to end a pregnancy PLEASE do not use #Threads.

@AJMcKay From what I can see, it's worse. I don't use the app for ANY Meta service bc browsers are at least slightly less-bad these days (which I'm sure is why you don't even have the option to do anything BUT the app for Threads)

@LCWebsXOXO I’m not too concerned for myself but I would be for others. I’m at least in a state that is safe (ish) and I’ll keep my account and try to post for others if things are shared.

@AJMcKay I'm definitely not nearly as worried for me as others given that I'm white, cis, can't get pregnant, and live in a safe state (unless/until the fascist Republicans successfully steal the whole federal government)

I'm hoping now though, that maybe if I do better about my own info sec moving forward, I can be a safer resource for when people need help

@LCWebsXOXO I thought about it as well. I wish celebs would not use these programs but I get why they would. Same way small business owners use Fbook. It’s their livelihood and using the tools to get in front of people.
