For new Mastodon users, you likely aren't seeing art and photos fully. Most instances crop images by default, and if you don't want to have to click on images to see them fully, you need to turn off the setting.

Turning off the setting makes the Mastodon experience better.

Go to your settings. Find Post Layout. Uncheck the box next to "Crop images in non-expanded posts to 16x9." Enjoy art and photos fully.

@bryanhansel Well I've been looking in the Tusky account preferences and in my Android tablet settings and can't find what you are referring to. Is it me? It probably is 😄
@Beulah it's the app. Not all apps will support the feature. I don't use Tusky, so I'm not sure what it supports. On Android, I install the website as an app via Chrome
@bryanhansel OK thanks. Means absolutely zilch to me as don't really understand all this technology not being a 12 yr old! Maybe I'll figure it out one day. I installed the Mastodon app originally but it was clunky and slow and people were recommending Tusky as much better so installed that and it is. I can live with the photos as they are. Thanks for trying to explain.
