Rather than being "terrified" by this expected consequence of human-caused warming, we should be motivated to act--in particular, holding politicians accountable at the ballot box. Only when we bring carbon emissions to zero does the warming stop:

Basically they are imbeciles that can't think, reason of have as any empathy!

To ‘hold politicians accountable’ we must first hold ourselves accountable. They’re only doing what most of us want: denying and/or writing off climate change and studiously avoiding the promotion of any behavioural change that might rock the consumer or corporate boat. We could start with advertising.
