this is another reminder to those still on mastodon.social, mastodon.online or universeodon to PLEASE migrate to another instance to chill with a smaller community.

these big instances are federating with Facebook/Meta's #Threads server(s) and as a result are being silenced/defederated by many in the fediverse, meaning people won't be able to see your posts! and you won't be able to chill with cyberpunks. 'nuff said!

@theruran oh dear, the fediverse is splintering 😭. I don’t know which way to jump. Looks like my instance won’t federate with the Meta monster for now which feels right to me.

@threeofus I believe there's a place for everyone that isn't a Twitter-wannabe server. Put out some feelers. Check your favorite hashtags. Lastly, it's totally okay to start out on a big instance! Consider that this is social media, not parasocial media 🤔
