I tried to like the Windows 11 UI. I really tried hard for months now!

But I failed. ๐Ÿ˜“

Yesterday, I applied some very hacky things to bring back the Windows 10 task bar, get the normal context window back, and remove the rounded window corners.

Oh my god, this is sooo much better! ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿ’œ โค๏ธ

In my opinion, Windows 10 was peak Microsoft UI design. โœจ

@duke_of_germany Yes, indeed, I am not impressed by Version 11. For instance, they still haven't fixed the "browsers" search and tabs too big issue. Many people have been asking for a fix but to no avail, looks like Microsoft is ignoring the issue. Following their instructions only affects the page you are viewing but not the upper bar and tabs. Frustrating. Have you found a way to make it look like Windows 10, like a shell or something?

@exEGS622

I have found a tool that turns on a lot of Win10 stuff that is still somewhere inside Win11 ๐Ÿ™‚, among it the old, flat task bar. It is very hacky, and stuff might break with each Windows update, but the developer is very active.

If you dare to try, search for "ExplorerPatcher" on GitHub (the same dev has a tool "Win11DisableRoundedCorners").

The current build breaks "Task View", but that's a small price to pay. ๐Ÿ˜‰

For me right now it is the best alternative to downgrade to Win10.

@duke_of_germany I hate Windows 11, I hate Windows, period!
