I wanted to mention that our instance is hosted at masto.host and I’ve been very happy with their reliability and service. But, if you encountered any issues yesterday, it was because of an intermittently recurring upstream issue at the data center. See this thread:

@hoosiersocial How are you funding this? I know for a single user instance, I was paying $12 a month just to see if I could scale...I couldn't. Mast is VERY inefficient.
Just wondering if there was a way to help (err...when I'm not selling a home and broke due to all the crazy incidental expenses!!!)
Just out of pocket for now. I just had to bump it up a little earlier this week (Star + Extra Resources = $29/month). But we’re actually pretty quickly approaching the next tier (Constellation = $39/month). I’m still happy to sponsor it fully at that level, but might start accepting help if we hit Galaxy ($89/month).
@hoosiersocial That isn't bad! I was using DigitalOcean. Probably the cheapest I could find.
When you get to the higher level, let us know! Better than paying the bird $8.
