@liztai Not sure if this is relevant, but in old-style English aristocratic language a Childe (or Child) is the young heir to a noble, who hasn’t yet been knighted and accepted as an adult.
There’s an old poem about a Childe <insert name> that I can’t remember. What I can find are 19th-century Romantic poets doing a revival and writing about Childe Harold (Byron) and Childe Roland (Browning).
