I now have receipts thanks to the Factiva database.

The Globe and Mail covered the demise of the Titan submersible a total of 24 times in the month of June. 5 deaths, 4 of them billionaires

In the same time frame, the Globe and Mail had 2 articles covering the deaths of over 100 times the number of people from a sinking of a migrant ship off the coast of Greece (it happened within days of each other).

This is called agenda setting, where they keep telling us that the needs and interests of billionaires are important things that we should all care about while climate change and fleeing from capitalism induced misery is not.

(Updated because I found another article)

@chu plus this: it's astonishing the number of assets that were deployed to recover it.

@chu

The Toronto Star has been running a series for years, about the murder of a couple of millionaires, with its own dedicated investigative reporter, a podcast series and many feature articles in print.

If they dedicated that much to each of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Children, that could change Canadian culture, significantly
