I went to the website of 303 Creative, the Colorado web designer that made up an imaginary gay couple who could conceivably ask them to design a wedding website so 303 could sue and legalize discrimination.

I thought this was interesting. They are asking for tolerance.

Irony is dead.

The tendency to center all text areas is known pejoratively in graphic design as "tombstoning" (which is one of the few places where this kind of typography is acceptable). Centering large blocks of text makes it more difficult to read. Overall inattention to line length and centering of all the text on the page demonstrates an ignorance and disdain for typography. Also not capitalizing headlines is something you outgrow after high school.

@timbell @Litzz11 It's not even a paradox in this case. If there's a right not to do business with folks whose behavior you object to, that applies to customers who don't want to work with a web designer whose actions they object to at least as much as it applies to the web designer who doesn't want to work with hypothetical clients whose actions they object to.

What I find particularly infuriating is that there are easy ways in which she could have avoided working with anyone outside her own little circle of bigotry without suing for a license to discriminate against people who are part of a protected category for good reason: work only with couples being married by pastors of her choice; work only by reference from prior clients and/or pastors of her choice; work only with couples being married at churches of her choice...
