I've noticed that posts on here tend to get a bit more traction than on the bird site... like, a lot more.
@boltlatex Do they? I haven't noticed that personally.
@iana I've been getting at least double the amount of favorites/likes here! Plus far more interaction through replies. Granted, I don't have a massive reach on Twitter but it's still been much better here.
@boltlatex @iana before i deleted my initial account on twitter i had around 200-300 followers like here right now.

Twitter: maybe one like here and there, no other interactions except from retweet bots sometimes, the viewcount was always veeery low

Here: several of everything often. On my old instance i even had a post that got viral.
@iana @boltlatex kinda also depends on how much reach yourself already have and activity.
@octofloofy @boltlatex
that is true, I would say I had a wider reach on the bird than most.
@boltlatex I believe the smaller community aspect helps a lot. You reach an inner circle of your local instance much quicker, and interactions tend to feel more meaningful because less attached to algorithms?
@Xantw0 That would make a lot of sense. It's much nicer to have richer interactions and also have my stuff reach people that are genuinely interested in it.
@Xantw0 @boltlatex
The timeline actually being a timeline, chronologically helps as well, in my opinion.
@boltlatex interesting. I've noticed the opposite (across 3 masto accounts I run with near simultaneous posting on birdsite and bluesky)
@boltlatex Same! It's extremely refreshing and exciting to see. 😄
