I recently watched macross, I quite didn't like it. Maybe just not built for old shows.

Although I do love "Soukou Kihei Votoms" a show from the same era. I have watched only the first part of macross though and not the others.

@misteraffable I started watching Votoms recently, it's really good. And no worries, everybody digs different things!
