@jameskanter as far as I remember fietsstraats in the Netherlands are shared roads where cycling takes precedence but cars can go, and are more than safe. no need for helmets, just well made laws and some basic culture. I've been riding regularly on streets like those, my daughter too, and we've been a lot safer there than on some cheap segregated infrastructure.

@jameskanter It would be more effective to give them revolvers, so they can be equally dangerous.
