Three people killed and eight wounded in mass shooting at July 4 fireworks event in Fort Worth

The massacre unfolded just before midnight on Monday night as revellers gathered to enjoy Independence Day celebrations in the area of Diaz Avenue and Horne Street in Fort Worth’s Como neighbourhood

The Independent
@flexghost it's not simply the proliferation of arms. Israelis are very well armed and yet there are less mass shootings. Even with the ideological divide there they don't shoot up schools as often as we do.
There is something wrong with out gun culture. Where guns are pushed as the solution to violence in the same culture that pushes racism, sexism and classism. Sometimes in the same NRA advertisement
Other Countries Had Mass Shootings. Then They Changed Their Gun Laws.

Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway: All had a culture of gun ownership, and all tightened restrictions anyway. Their violence statistics now diverge sharply from those of the U.S.

The New York Times
@flexghost those countries never had the same mass shooting rates we do and our violent crime rates have actually gone down wince the 1980s. Particularly youth violence is down. The mass shooting phenomenon isn't simply due to gun proliferation. There are other cultural drivers. Also compare Israeli gun crime statistics and how armed they are.
Something is wrong with America beyond the guns themselves
@flexghost but to reiterate the actual violent crime and murder rates are down in the USA from the 1990s which were down from the 80s.

@flavonoid your argument starts with a fallacy and demands a 1:1

You’re not in good faith and a waste of time as a debater. And as a person.
