Dear creators:

please, please, PLEASE set up your own web sites and distribute your work from there.

If you post your work only on Twitter and/or Reddit, it's gonna disappear. Soon.

Do you mean something like Carrd or GitHub Pages or an independent website on its own domain and all?

@driftini

The more independent, the better.
I've been on the Internet since 1987, and in all that every single outside service has eventually gone bad.

@mwl While I agree with that, the issue is only a few people would go out of their way to make even a Github Pages personal site, be it because of lack of skill, interest or anything
Sadly migrating to a new social network whenever necessary is just the easiest and most painless solution when all you want to do is get your work seen by others (although it's short term and you're bound to lose some people you're following on every migration)

Except the Internet Archive at
https://archive.org.
Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free & Borrowable Texts, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine

@hairylarry @driftini

True. The Internet Archive has not gone feral.

Yet.
