Blocking communities - Aussie Zone

With the many Reddit style shitposts appearing, I’m wondering if there’s a way for users to block certain communities or servers. Sync for Reddit made doing this easy -blocking the noise was the only reason I could use Reddit. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before.
