This is how the Ivies finance themselves. If you are wealthy, you buy Harvard a building, put your name on it & your kids get into Harvard.

The Ivies are very odd places filled with the children of the wealthy. Children from "deprived" backgrounds make up a teeny amount of students & it can be socially difficult for them. Affirmative action mostly benefitted children of wealthy minorities.
