@AbandonedAmerica Went there as a child. The City of Cleveland had owned it (through city default and all), you can imagine all the deferred maintenance and a city struggling out of default couldn't handle the facility. Everything was transferred to a better funded county entity operating a zoo and an impressive series of parks.

The city still owns the land, but being one of the most impoverished cities in the US, an abandoned broken aquarium hasn't been a priority...
