We followed directions up an unmade road to locate the remains of a Bronze Age village on South Uist. You can see the outlines of the roundhouses. They are now set among sand dunes but in the time of the village’s inhabitation the coast was a bit further away. We walked on to the beach which was gorgeous white sand for miles and nobody there except us #OuterHebrides #Scotland #RoadTrip #archaeology
@purplepadma such a great part of the world. Will be enjoying it vicariously!
@purplepadma I knew its gorgeous but gosh, that's breathe taking! 😍❤️
@musingoddity It just seems amazing that there are beaches like this and no one on them… back home in Pembrokeshire we have gorgeous beaches but they are packed in good weather
@purplepadma I'd love to visit the outer Hebrides. If I ever make my #youtube channel hit the premium side of things I'll do it on a motorcycle and just randomly camp around so I can get to explore properly.
@Valheru There were people touring and camping on motorcycles, bicycles, and on foot.
