Question for apple watch Voiceover Users: If I want to have the weather as a complication on my watch face, can I just have it tell me the temperature, and not all the conditions for the next few hours? I have my face configured just the way I like it, but instead of telling me what temperature there is in my city, it says, "Local temperature..." and it tells me the current temperature. Then, I have to flick past the temperature reports for the next few hours before I can go to the other complications on my watch face. I looked in the weather choices, but all I saw was conditions, wind, rain, and UV indes. Is there a setting I need to change where it just shows me the current temperature? That's what my watch used to do, but it's changed to this setup lately. I admit I'm not an apple watch expert, as I only use it for practical functions and not for everyday use.
Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions. Hope everyone is having an awesome day!
@desertstar84 That's weird. My weather widget is now also reading more than just the temperature. I wonder if this is part of an Apple watch software update. My watch just updated its software a few days ago.
@SingingNala Hmm, and when you look in the complications, are you seeing only the four options I'm seeing? All I have for weather are wind, rain, conditions and UV Index. There is no more option, but I don't have the latest update. I'm trying to update to the latest right now, but knowing you've just updated, I must admit that's a bit discouraging for me. My watch never was like this before, and I've been using this face since I got it back in 2020.
@desertstar84 The only conclusion I can draw after poking around in the settings for the weather complication is that they've changed how the temperature complication option reads. I have six options for weather. One is temperature. I re-selected temperature, and mine is still reading current temperature, the high, the low, and the humidity. I guess I'm just getting used to silencing it when I only want the temperature. I too have been using this complication for a long time. I first got an Apple watch in 2016. Meow. :(
