Nearly 40% of Linux gamers on Steam are on Steam Deck

The latest Steam Hardware & Software Survey is out for June 2023, and it shows just how much the Linux share is now influenced by the Steam Deck.

GamingOnLinux
@gamingonlinux And what do you think about that? Is it good or bad?
@Luisgd @gamingonlinux that's undoubtedly good. More Linux users is good for everyone, doesn't matter if they even know what is "a Linux" or not.
@Metallinatus @gamingonlinux I'm a Linux and a steamdeck user and sadly I'm windows user because of gaming. So I hope this changes when the gaming on Linux becomes bettee.
@Metallinatus @gamingonlinux @Luisgd Linux is already great for gaming. Better and smoother performance for me in many games. I can live without games like Fortnite and Valorant that block Linux with anti cheat. If youโ€™re mostly a singleplayer gamer, then thereโ€™s not much of a reason to not use Linux. Plus you can always dual boot
@Hikiru @Metallinatus @gamingonlinux I know but I usually play games like Hunt showdown and so with friends and a I don't really like dual boot. It's like duplicating the information. I don't know, I just think it's not still my moment yet.
@Luisgd @Metallinatus @gamingonlinux hunt showdown works on Linux, what other multiplayer games do you play?
@Hikiru @Metallinatus @gamingonlinux does it? When I checked out it didn't. Any way I play Magic Arena, counter and Apex. For single player. I'm playing elden ring and stix, master of shadows.
@Hikiru @Metallinatus @gamingonlinux and any other new game it comes out and I like hahahaha
@Metallinatus @gamingonlinux @Luisgd CSGO runs natively on Linux, apex supports it, and MTG arena has a lutris install script. Most singleplayer games should work fine
