A friend of mine did a purposely DOS style game like that in 2013 called 'Muri' which is worth a play if you haven't. :)
@Carnivius I have Muri! It is one of my inspirations for this.
@devlin Cool. :) I helped out on it a bit and one of my past projects was apparently an inspiration for it. :O One I never bloody finished but of course Daniel Remar made Muri in almost no time at all, because unlike me, he's a very competent and efficient game maker. :P
