It's a kbin account, we have reputation points here, similar to Reddit karma. Even if they post to a lemmy community from kbin, upvotes and boosts will give them karma

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. On a related note, does anyone know if you block a user are their votes still included in the totals you see for posts and comments?

pretty disappointing that there's people here who care about reputation despite it meaning even less than reddit karma(which is meaningless past like 200 to pass subs' minimum karma requirements)

If we set the cap at 1000 (arbitrary number) anyone with more than that it would just display 1000+ It'd be useful to have a separate counter on magazine basis. That way if someone made their own magazine or instance and upvoted their own posts to grind reputation points before coming to troll on another magazine or instance it'd still be detectable.

That wouldn't help you much sadly. This person has at least 10-15 accounts (that I can reasonably suspect based on their boosting history) and they will definitely make even more as people get to know about them. You can expect an increase in shills as kbin becomes more popular too lol.
It's nice to know some of the posts I've seen those accounts downvoted aren't by people who're really downvoting what the content is about.
