Tip for people new to #mastodon ... hashtags generate most of my feed, and how I met fellow artists.
-Within each individual hashtag, there's a box to click on the top right (second screen capture).
-Posts from across servers, instead of the centralized system that other social media platforms have!

hmm .. like decentralization implies cross over posts.
It's that I can't relate that to the specific tool of following hashtags. It sounded to me at first a littel bit like that the hashtag stream pulls posts because of the hashtag itself while it actually displays posts imported because of someone following a profile form another server and that profile posted his toot with that specific hashtag so it got sorted into that list on your server.
