Dropprd my car off at the mechanic with an unknown issue. Even more than the money it will cost, it feels very strange to be carless in the middle of the vast limited public transit wilderness of the American midwest.
And the drivers here are too untrustworthy to bike, even in the limited areas with bike infrastructure. (I was once a Chicago daily bike commuter in a previous life, and the drivers here terrify me.)
@Fundamentallylazy can you tell me if you’d prefer riding the blue line out to Skokie at like midnight on a Saturday or ride my bike (probably in the rain, but I have good lights). Going to a show this weekend and I don’t know Chicago all that well
