In a new paper, scientists at GBAR/CERN describe how to make antihydrogen atoms!

The Gravitational Behaviour of Antimatter at Rest experiment (GBAR) measures the freefall acceleration under gravity of antimatter (ḡ pronounced g-bar).

Scientists are testing Einstein's Equivalence Principle that the gravitational force on a particle is independent of its internal structure and composition (H or anti-H).

What else can we do with anti-H? 🤔

@AkaSci but is gravity symmetrical that way. wld it work the same way with an entire antimatter earth pulling on a matter H atom? I'm not convinced!

@AkaSci my problem is that we have no way to measure gravitational attraction between two particles in the way we can measure EM attraction between them. this disturbes me.

at this scale, we have no CLUE what gravity is. and no clue how to join gravity with quantum mech.
