@booksandink I've had this conversation with an acquaintance before but couldn't justify my agreement with your statement beyond "it's a lost sale/exposes the book to possible damage/might annoy other customers" in the case of maybe one or two pages.

In the case of full chapters or "too many pages", that's not only silly, it's also an incredibly roundabout way of pirating something that harms everyone involved. If you have a better argument I could use in the future, I'd be thankful! I apologize for not offering more of value to this topic.
