Don't Play In My Face

I don't know how many more times I can say this, but this Elk thing really made Mastodon easier to process in my brain, and it's easier on my eyes.

I want to engage more, find more of my people. I'm still annoyed that Twitter is going down. How many news stories did we learn about? Not what Sinclair wants to sugarcoat in the B or C block of the local news, but the actual happenings.

Twitter is so much to marginalized communities/people, but I'll keep talking about Elk if it gets people here.

@damon Elk works for web. I've been using Ice Cubes on mobile/tablet after taking a spin on the official app and on Tootle for a hot second.

Just tried Ivory again and not sure why it's different now, but damnit, it got me lol. I think it's because it loads a bit faster than Ice Cubes.

@jnlbrk Twitter is important to marginalized people/communities which is why Elon and his investors bought it to destroy it. An organizing tool for civic action? A free communications platform for activists and organizers? Can’t have that!!

No one will ever convince me that destroying Twitter wasn’t the point all along.
