to existing mastodon users: please make this place a good place to be by not acting like the fucking post HOA and being a condescending asshole all the time. these are both huge cultural problems here that y'all pretend you don't have

this place is mostly pretty good but there's a million little posting subcultures and people really put their hackles up about you not confirming to theirs. consider reigning that in for a fucking week before you go back to acting like open source adoption makes you a living saint
