lol, I got rate limited for trying to get Twitter users to sub up on Mastodon.
@Graham_LRR hi Graham!
@Graham_LRR @A_Feral_David oof, I hope they add some sort of nested replies at some point
@Martizz1e @A_Feral_David What app are you using? There are many that can look different. Mine has nested replies.
@Graham_LRR @A_Feral_David I'm on Android, today's my first big dive into Mastodon, even though I've had it for a while. When I replied I was on mobile web (in the Twitter app) but I just downloaded tusky which via a quick Google search seemed to be recommended for Android
@Martizz1e Try the official app, they actually just updated the Android release! I can’t speak to it but I might be better for you?
@Graham_LRR @Martizz1e I personally use Tusky on Android. But I've fiddled around with the official app and found it... Fine.
@mowdownjoe @Graham_LRR @Martizz1e I also use tusky on Android and like it. It looks and feels similar enough to the bird app that the transition was a lot more comfortable than the first time I tried masto years ago.
@Graham_LRR @Martizz1e I have a pinned post for app suggestions:

The official apps bizarrely lack a lot of features and functions of the site. The most one-to-one with the site is the Progressive Web App, because it's just the mobile site in a standalone app container that can do notifications and such. It's also my preferred app, however it does still lack nested/threaded replies. That's on the dev roadmap for Mastodon as a whole, though.

Using Mastodon on mobile? Avoid the official app, as it oddly lacks core features. Instead try one of these: Android Mastodon PWA (basically the website in a standalone app shell) Tusky Fedilab iOS Ice Cubes Toot! Ivory - paid, made by Tweetbot dev PWAs are Progressive Web Apps which can be installed by signing in to your account on kind.social via Chrome on your Android device and selecting Install from Chrome's three-dot main menu button. Also via Safari, but notifications don't work.

Be More Kind
@Graham_LRR @Martizz1e That said, both Tusky and FediLab have versions of threaded/nested replies.
