@nickbwalking I keep thinking that the end-game is for Elon to not make his note and the Saudi investors to require controlling interests in either Tesla or SpaceX. (With sorrow, over Twitter's corpse.)

It's win-win; murder the world's best known electric car marque, tainting such investments with failure, or get more leverage with the USG and (probably) ICBMs. (Current SpaceX products aren't, but people there know how to build them. Attach to nuclear secrets bought from Trump and voila!)
