The Supreme Court has ruled that it’s ok the discriminate against LGBTQ people based on religious freedom. That says everything we need to know about American religion. That they feel the need to discriminate against fellow humans. I think to myself, wow, how far away from the character of Jesus that is. Then you remind yourself that American religion isn’t Christianity, it can’t be as it is the antithesis of what Jesus would do.
They use the word Jesus of course, but it means nothing. Because these religious people hate Jesus. Everything he stood for and everything the Bible states about trying to be like him is the opposite of of what they try to be. If we were to really call American religion by it’s true name, it would be called Crueltianity. Because they worship cruelty and hatred. If they can make fellow humans miserable
then they find happiness in that. Because these people are un-evolved people. They live by outdated animal instincts of fear. There are people in America that I’m sure are Christians and they base their lives on living others, but the shouters, the haters, the cruel, the immoral the unethical, the liars, the corrupt, the greedy, the power worshippers are not Christians. They are the self-righteous baloney bullshitters who are what we would actually class as evil,
masquerading as some moral authority. Cruelty and hate are not moral and the majority of us see them for what they are. Power grabbers trying to control everything based upon not Christianity, but Crueltianity.
@SpockResists β€œMark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.”

@SpockResists

They are Talibangelists! No ideal who invented this word but most descriptive.

@SpockResists Imma reference Crueltianity at church this morning. See how I go. Great term.
