“Twitter Temporarily Restricts Tweets Users Can See, Elon Musk Announces”

What infuriates me most about Elno’s Gollumesque obsession with his preciousss #Twitter data is that this data isn’t *his* in the first place. We all poured our lifeblood into it—in my case for 16 years—under the explicit premise that Twitter’s a forum-like participatory open space.

Twitter temporarily restricts tweets users can see, Elon Musk announces

Elon Musk says verified accounts can read up to 10,000 posts a day while unverified ones are limited to 1,000.

We also should note Lord Elno’s extra genius here, to severely restrict the number of eyeballs his advertisers paid money for. I bet they’re thrilled right now.

@gyokusai yay! I just don’t understand how he made in business!
@gyokusai Musk paid $40 billion for a website worth about $10 billion. Having applied his genius it's now probably worth less than a second hand car.
@gyokusai
I think he might be correct though that the platform is crawled like crazy.
archive.org reported this some time ago too.
@davidbruchmann I’m just a scripter, not a programmer, but even I can think of several ways to curtail excessive scraping without having to implement a feudal tier system for reading allotments.
@gyokusai
Yes, of course.
I'm not here to protect Elon's actions, decisions or business 😂
@davidbruchmann @davidbruchmann yeah, I understood that, no worry! 🙂
