Twitter's move to break embedded tweets for anyone who isn't logged in -- in other words, requiring people to sign up for an account and tracking them online -- should be enough for any ethical journalism org to stop using it.

I'm joking, of course. Journalism orgs are among the most ardent members of the surveillance-industrial complex.

@dangillmor it seems as tho modern “journalism” is too often little more than an introductory paragraph followed by a couple embedded tweets followed by a recap… i won’t be sad to see this trend broken and the dominance of a handful of popular tweets as “news” decline
