I was able to do exactly that with this link. If I open Kiwi Browser, which is logged onto my Birdsite alt of this account, the tweet loads (pic 1).
If I use Firefox, which (sensibly) isn't logged in, it just redirects to the login page (pic 2).
These are NOT just the same pic, btw!
As if one couldn't gatekeep a fucking social network, they found a way.
It was both good and REALLY bad timing to make a Twitter alt after all.
If I didn't have a media presence, I would've backed the duck off imediately. But now I need it to even do basic research, since MOST (if not all) of my developer/hacker insight quotes are from Twitter.
I regret everything.
