cowleggiesHighly recommend checking out wefwef - closest option to an Apollo clone as I’ve seen so far in terms of UI and functionality, and doesn’t even need to be installed. Memmy is a very good second place option, but I’ve been using wefwef since I heard about it yesterday and ZI think it’s better.

Lemmy.world is apparently rate limiting the wefwef.app domain. They are working on resolving it. In the meantime you can try the suggested solutions in their community https://lemmy.world/post/801298
For example self hosting it or using others publicly available versions of it like https://w.opnxng.com/ though you should always be cautious using other's instances.
It’s great, but I really wish it had the equivalent of Apollo’s “compact” mode!
I started with Mlem and wasn’t a huge fan and was primarily using Memmy. But I decided to try mlem again as it’s been a while and it looks much better! Might be my new daily driver. I’ll give wefwef a try too.
Yeah like a week after I joined they completely changed the display, and it’s been my heavy hitter. Wefwef feels like I never left Apollo though.

Memmy has seriously improved over the past two weeks, it’s development has been extremely fast and I’m very impressed with my limited casual use so far.

I’m really liking mlem and thunder so far. Curious how Artemis is going to look. Considering they chose a god name just like Apollo. I can see them going for a similar look.

DARbarianStarted with Jerboa until the 0.18.0 issue, switched to Thunder which was buggier than I liked. But now that Liftoff is finally on F-Droid it feels like I've found the definitive Android client. Well until Artemis that is.
Sync for Lemmy is also coming!

I've just installed Connect and so far I like it more than Jeroba. There's also Sync coming SoonTM so that would probably be good
PhillyCodeHoundLiftoff is pretty slick too. Though it has a padding issue on some drop downs.
There is also Thunder, and personally I’m torn between it and wefwef.

Think the only client I’m aware of for android is jerboa. It’s basic, but works!
The boost dev has announced they’re working on a Lemmy client, I can’t wait to pay for it again.

Hi guys, what’s the most similar lemmy app compared to RiF?
MayI’m currently using Connect for Lemmy from the Play Store. Not the same feel as RiF but it is very simplistic in nature yet still feature-rich, which counts in my book!
I just clicked a link to WefWef, and am trying it right now on a desktop. Feels so mobiley, and superintuitive.
Changed a few settings (text size, compact) and this would be a worthy replacement, but just not 100% yet.
I tend to agree, I’ve actually stopped using Connect for now and am trying Liftoff and Wefwef, both I think feel more compact and lightweight which is a big reason I used rif in the first place. No bloat.
Only thing I don’t like about wefwef is that it feels too much like an iOS app, which uhh I guess it was made for iPhone so that makes sense haha. After changing the display settings in Liftoff it feels much better to use than Connect.
Its not as polished as Apollo but years of development will do that for you.
I noticed at one point in the side swipe upvote the down vote and upvote waw pointing down just the color was changing
