Should I buy Dwarf Fortress? - Lemmy.world

I’m finally getting a little bored of my main game, Deep Rock Galactic. I’ve never touched DF, but it looks intriguing. I’m pretty average at sims. Will I be able to pick up and put down this game as needed?

It's a steep learning curve but it's really fun once you get the hang of it. I think the steam version is better in that regard. Also before the steam version the game was pretty much keyboard only.
