🦠Fundamentallylazy🦠Dropprd my car off at the mechanic with an unknown issue. Even more than the money it will cost, it feels very strange to be carless in the middle of the vast limited public transit wilderness of the American midwest.
Like, in the time before cell phones and lyft and uber, it would have been an hour wait for a cab and like $70 to get from the mechanic’s suburb to my suburb, and a bus would have been a 2 or 3 transfer and several hour odyssey.
