Wondering if the Reddit admins are sockpuppeting. Shortly after we refused to reopen the sub, mod mail started getting spammed with reopen requests from a mix of long-dormant and nearly brand new accounts.
Ex: a 9 year old account with no activity within the past 4 years, or an account that's a month old and has zero posts and 1 karma.
Looks like the admins are back to wiping mod teams. Head mod already said he's going to reopen, so I'll probably go ahead and open it after work. I reached out to him but he often takes days to reply.
Also, the API is still up for a moment so I'll be able to backup data and possibly the sub.

I reopened the sub and immediately stickied a user profile backup tool & instructions.

And it turns out our sub made it into a reddit-wide archive a while back.

It's not everything; misses the past six months, but it should have all the rest of the sub's history.
I don't have enough disk space currently for it, though.
Edit: Whoops. I had setup the torrent incorrectly, so it was trying to download the entire archive, not just the realtesla sub.
With the sub open, subredditstats can see it properly again and why we got admin attention is a bit more clear. On a few metrics, realtesla was a top 500-ish sub.

I do think it's funny on the posts/comments per day, the cybertruck reveal seems to be the big spike.
