What are your favorite indie games on PS5? - Lemmy.world

This year, apart from Control early on, I’ve mostly played lengthy open-world games like Ghost of Tsushima and Hogwarts Legacy. I’m looking into games with smaller scales, that don’t require a huge time commitment. Some of my favorite indie games include Edith Finch, Inside, Firewatch and The Forgotten City. I’m open to any genre and game, although preferably on PS Plus Extra.

I quite enjoyed Wytchwood, that is a charming fairy tale crafting game, and Stray is a good one if you like cats. Bugsnax is also unironically a good game involving catching weird bug-like creatures. Subnautica is brilliant as is Outer Wilds, both great exploration games, though for a shorter experience try Abzu. On the puzzle side I'd recommend tetris effect or Humanity. I think most, if not all, are on Extra, though a few I might have got a monthly offers on ps plus.

Out of those I've played Wytchwood, Stray and Outer Wilds, with Stray being my favorite. OW is really let down by the clunky controls, IMO, but it's got a brilliant story.

Do either of Subnautica or Abzu have PS5 upgrades?
