World Dai Star be like: you've heard of the unreliable narrator, but have you tried the unreliable lesbian?

World Dai Star asks the important question "what if there was a lesbian so gay she didn't just create an imaginary girlfriend for herself but manifested her into real life so they could sleep together?"

world dai star is lesbian x-men on stage and i am here for it

World Dai Star be like "what if that scene from DBZ where Kami gives up his life to merge with Piccolo so he can be strong enough to fight Cell, but if it was all theatre girls with super powers and one of the girls was the conjured imaginary girlfriend of the other also we made it really really really gay"

also, it's funny how it's about theatre but they treat it like a shonen battle, having Katarina finally unleash herself and just destroy Yae who up until now was unbeatable so that the only way Shizuka could see Kokona winning was to give up herself to reintegrate with Kokona was like top tier booking

This season has been ridiculous in quality and in shows that overperform their concept. Like, yeah Kizuna no Allele had the NFT episode, but if that show, which had a slow build plot of a trans girl grappling with her dysphoria and then transition in the penultimate episode and being embraced by all the other girls, is holding up the bottom, then that says how good the season is. i would have killed for Kizuna no Allele last season. And I definitely didn't expect much from something like Alice Gear Aegis, a video game adaptation, or World Dai Star which seemed like "Love Live but for theatre nerds".

"Okay, everybody, we're going to make an idol anime! Unfortunately all the best idol anime writers are taken, but we did manage to get an unemployed theatre major with a minor in sapphic literature, and the battle coordinator for Naruto. Get them up to speed." - behind the scenes of World Dai Star, probably

I called it early on with the selection of plays that Shizuka would disappear at the end for Kokona to progress b/c everything they'd chosen was about somebody who ultimately had to lose something/somebody in their life, esp since Shizuka first appeared a play about Princess Kaguya, but I also called it when I said later that the show giving Romeo & Juliet a happy ending was them hinting at us that her fate can be averted and she and Kokona would be together again and I was right :3 I really love that they put a lot of thought into the plays they chose for the show tho #WorldDaiStar #anime #yuri #lesbian
@ami_angelwings I was so worried because it seemed well telegraphed but they could have chosen wrong
@aesmael so far a lot of shows this season seem like they actually know what they're setting up and they pay it off, which is shocking... even kizuna no allele (at least for the only person that matters in Quan, nobody cares if kizuna's murder is actually solved)
@ami_angelwings I'm staying to think they're adapting to the short season lengths. Which means it's time for them to get fewer episodes again
@aesmael 6 episode seasons, by the time half the cast is introduced the show is over
@aesmael every show will feel completely hollow and incomplete plot wise because the writers need to make sure all the trans girls and lesbians make an appearance
