Apollo has an opt-out sub refund screen out. Since I unfortunately know, first hand, all about this process I'll say this is all incredibly stressful. If you ever had a sub for Apollo, even if you uninstalled it and deleted Reddit, go check it out and at least consider it.

It's probably only a few $s for you but those $s get multiplied by 10s of thousands of subs and end up being real money straight out of Christian's pockets.

Macrumors commenter’s takes are always a take.
@paul his wording is terrible, and it makes him look like an *ss, but I actually kinda agree.
@prullenbak @paul I was happy to ignore my subscription when Tweetbot was shutdown. I appreciated the work the developers did.
@Craktok @paul I didn’t use the last version of tweetbot because I already started to hate twitter. So I didn’t have to make that decision. But I happily bought earlier versions. I don’t mind paying for software and although I don’t like subscriptions, I do get it. However, the anonymous person is kind of right in saying: “you pay for a subscription for working software. If the software stops working, there’s no real reason to keep paying.”
@prullenbak no one is saying you should keep paying for software after it’s stopped working, but I firmly believe you pay for what you’ve used (which is what I did with Tweetbot). The anonymous person was being a dick (as anonymous people are want to do).
@Craktok don’t get me wrong: he absolutely was. But in principle, and more nuanced, I agreed with with him. And still do. But I like to stay on the non-dick side of the brutally honest / dick line 🙂
