I'm sorry everyone but we need to take back whatever we all said about Apple not doing machine learning right.

iOS 17's Photos app can now identify *and* explain laundry symbols in pictures and this is amazing. No more need for apps that do this; just swipe up on a photo.

@viticci This is pretty awesome, although my first attempt at Live Text Translate on this tag yielded the questionable suggestion “DON'T CLEAN YOURSELF.”

@sru @dmoren @viticci That would be cool, though I feel like this technology has been "ready" for a decade now. I remember using this Translate app Google ended up acquiring and rolling into the Google app ages ago. Just point camera at something and it would show you live translation for any language.

@jbwharris @dmoren @viticci It would be great to do it hands-free though. Phone and tablet AR apps were hamstrung by requiring the user to hold out a device and only experience AR through a tiny field of view.
