How does one create a community?

How does one create a community? - Lemmy.world

Basically the title. I’d love to create a community to replace my small subreddit, but I am am not sure how to do so. So far I have only used jerboa to participate. I have an account through lemmy.world and one through sopuli.xyz because I don’t know what I’m doing! Any guidance is appreciated.

This is what I did:

Lemmy.world, On iPhone, in the browser, on the upper right hand corner there is a button with three horizontal lines. Tap that to open a menu, then tap “Create Community”

I don’t know if that will work with Jerboa though

I suggest switching to another app. I'm using Liftoff right now and its been great (its currently not in Playstore, but you can download the apk in their Github)

Liftoff is amazing. I wish I could remember how I got linked into the beta so I could share. I’m on iOS but glad to see it’s on Android too.
