@24panels never cared for the 80s remake (found it gross), though not seen the 50s version. Both versions (as well as the 80s remake's sequel) are currently on (HBO) Max in the US. (Barring another WB Discovery content purge... given said streaming service, you're probably better off buying the films on DVD/Blu-ray...)
@dtgeek Fox owns the rights, so at least the films are protected that way. Plus, Shout! Factory has a nice Blu Ray box set out of the complete series.
