I am a California Leagally Licensed automobile driver. The privileged & safe operation of my vehicle is expected. However, being human, risk & choices places me next to moral & financially civil responsibilities. Those same responsibilities should be applied to gun ownership & handling. Insurance industries & legislation are our tools to guide & correct public conduct with firearms.
@2dayStubble true, though (speaking as a California pedestrian) if gun owners all behaved like California drivers, this country wouldn’t have any people left. I guess that is the direction we’re trending toward. 🤔
@stevenray well I pray your pedestrian experience improves & must say, I once stepped off a busy crosswalk to have my foot run over by the front end of a VW bug. Lucky! No injury!Down town SF many years ago. Sounds like it’s worse.
@stevenray Any urban city center driving has always ever been a seriously competitive rite of passage thing. Horse & buggy size St’s & intersections in SF make lots of fender benders. Modern intersections are huge by comparison. Pro drivers, truck, taxi, bus, small delivery vans, all have valuable info & practiced skill sets to be studied by close observation. Not everyone measures up to the required focus & nerve racking, negligence encountered during high speed commutes.
